Miriam Bishop

Miriam Bishop of Belleville, Ontario, passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 102. Born on July 1, 1924, she was a beloved member of her community and cherished by her family and friends. Miriam was predeceased by her parents, Inda Drew (Pelton) and Harold Drew, her husband William Bishop, and her son Stephen Bishop (Deb Groh). She is survived by her children, Susan Moore (Steven Moore), Martha Jeffery (Allan Jeffery), MaryLou Hiddink (Jack Hiddink), and Peter Bishop (Shirley Bishop). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Laura Tippett, Erica Nichols, Emily Bishop, Charlotte Teat, Conor Moore, Sarah Tosoni, Eric Jeffery, Adam Walsh, and Elizabeth Boyd, as well as her cousin Lowell Herbert (Pelton). The family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Adventure Child Development Centre in Belleville.
