Michael Joseph McCarey of Belleville, Ontario, died on July 24, 2026, at the age of 85. He was born on August 10, 1940. He was predeceased by his wife, Linda Anne McCarey, and his parents, Joseph Newell McCarey and Dorcas Helene Murphy. He is survived by his brother James McCarey; his children, David (married to Sonya Bolton) and Anne (married to Darragh Egan); his grandchildren Malcolm, Rebecca and Thomas; and his nieces and nephews, Murphy and Poynter.
