He is survived by his wife Diane Fournier, his daughters Tanya Desjardins and Cynthia Desjardins, his siblings Serge Desjardins (married to Joanne) and Yolande Desjardins (married to Jean-Pierre), and his parents Roger Desjardins and Lucille Charette. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Steele Funeral Home Family Centre, 20 Moira St W, Belleville, ON K8P1S1. The family requests memorial donations in Gerald's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
