Hal Wilson

Hal Wilson of Belleville, Ontario, passed away on August 8, 2026, at the age of 83. He was born on December 5, 1942. He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Dorothy Wilson, and his brother Don Wilson, who was married to the late Lorene. He is survived by his wife Olive Wilson; his children Stephanie Clarey of Whitehorse, Yukon, Hal Wilson Jr. (Josée) of Illinois; his grandchildren Willem, Joseph, Jacob, Noah and Sienna; and his brothers Gary Wilson (married to Sandra) and Doug Wilson (married to Rita). In May 1999, he received an Honorary Doctorate from Queen's Theological College in recognition of his contributions to his community, the United Church, Queen's University, and the Theological College. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Belleville, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville, ON K8P3R4. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the same location.
