George Skalin

George Skalin of Belleville, Ontario, passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 95. He was born on October 4, 1930. He was predeceased by his wife Taimi, his son George, his sister Mary George, and his parents Sofia Skalin and George Skalin. He is survived by his sister Fran (Matt); his children Sheila (Ray), Gayle (Laurence) and Mark (Joanne); his daughter‑in‑law Helen (George M.); his grandchildren George (Nasrin), Alicia, Jenn (Liv), Jessie (Ben), Amos (Jiuli), Neal (Carol), Nell (Aleks), Adrienne (Ethan) and Wyatt (Aletha); his great‑grandchildren Charlotte, Ethan, Elijah and Laine; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Burkes Funeral Home, 150 Church St, Belleville, ON K8N3B9.
