George Barrie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Barrie in Belleville, Ontario, on September 29, 2026. George is remembered fondly for his warmth and thoughtfulness, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was predeceased by his father, Louis. George is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; his children, Alison and Ian (Rosella); his mother, Rosella (Ian); and his siblings, Rita (Scotty), Louis (Maxine), Paul (Sheila), and April (John). He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Quinte or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundations to honor George's memory.
