MARIE JOANNE McPHERSON
Marie Joanne McPherson (née Bégin) passed away peacefully at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the age of 92. She was the daughter of the late Vera and Arthur Bégin and the loving mother of Linda Villanova (Tony), David (Deborah), and Robert Parry. Marie is survived by her brother, Rev. Dr. Fr. Paul Bégin, and predeceased by her brothers, James (Cindy) and John. She grew up in St. Clair's Parish and attended Loretto Abbey School and St. Joseph's College School. Marie graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Michael's in 1956 and married Peter Parry in 1959 and Frank McPherson in 1981. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and dedicated her life to faith, love, and service to others, volunteering at Providence Villa for many years. Marie leaves behind two granddaughters, Amanda and Mikayla, an RN like her grandmother; one great-grandchild, Austin; nephews, Noel (Kim) Bégin and Paul (Ann) Bégin; and niece, Claire (Jason) Taylor. Visitation will be held at Weaver Family Funeral Home in Trenton on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. and interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
