Wilma Isobel LINDSEY
Wilma Isobel Lindsey passed away peacefully at Albright Manor in Beamsville on April 6, 2026, at the age of 99. Born in Drummond Centre, ON, to Margaret Mae Anderson and Albert Graham Miller, Wilma trained as a registered nurse at Kingston General Hospital, graduating in 1949. She married Bob Lindsey in 1952, and they spent the next six decades raising a family while Bob served United Church congregations in Ontario and Manitoba, as well as the Presbyterian Church of Grenada. Wilma had a varied nursing career, including stints at the Atomic National Research Council in Deep River, Sunnybrook Hospital, Sick Children's Hospital, the Orthopedic and Arthritic Hospital, and Runnymede Chronic Care Hospital in Toronto. She was predeceased by brothers Lloyd, Graham, and Russell, and sisters Marian and Evelyn. Wilma will be greatly missed by her children Joe, Cathie, Rob, Amy, Mark, and Mary, and also her grandchildren Michael, Alex, Kaitlin, and Nicholas, and great-grandchildren Iven, Maverick, and Robin. Her family is grateful to the staff at Albright Manor for their loving care. Remembrances may be made to The Albright Foundation. A funeral service will take place at Tallman Funeral Homes on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., with visitation taking place 1 hour prior, followed by a reception in the Fireside Room. The funeral service will be livestreamed.
