Mrs. Margaret Marie (née Smith) Marie Woods

Margaret Marie Woods passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest Woods and son David Woods. Margaret is survived by her daughters Diane Woods and Deborah Pearson, grandchildren Joel and Ayla Pearson, and great-grandchildren Hazel and Finn. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, including Stephen, Ann, and Marie, as well as Debbie Williamson, who considered her a second mother. Born in Ontario, Margaret spent her childhood in Toronto and Simcoe, graduating from the Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. She worked as a nurse and later as a pharmacy assistant, alongside her husband Ernest, with whom she owned Large's Pharmacy in Brampton. Margaret was a dedicated member of the local Lioness Club, contributing to various community initiatives and receiving the Helen Keller Fellowship Award for her support of the blind community. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and dedication to public service.
