Klaas Cornelis VanderVeen

The family of Klaas Cornelis VanderVeen announces his passing on September 7, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on May 2, 1932, Klaas was a cherished member of his community in Barrie, Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents, Cornelis Klaas VanderVeen and Albertje Kobes, his grandmother Leopoldine Brouwer, his siblings Rinke (Sonya), Jacob, Tjitse (Jim), Andries (Andy), Jeltje (Jill), Iemkje (Alida), and his daughter Karen Abegail. Klaas is survived by his daughter Lani Melinda, his siblings Christiaan (Ann) and Rinske (Hans), as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Eden Hall, located at 282 Hurst Dr, Barrie, ON L4N0Z3. Family and friends are invited to honor Klaas's memory and reflect on the joy he brought to their lives.
