Joseph Edward Sammut passed away on May 6, 2026, at the age of 95. Visitation will take place at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place the following day, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 10 a.m., at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 65 Amelia St., Barrie. Guests are invited to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home following the Funeral Mass for a reception inside the lower lounge. Interment will take place at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Joe's name, to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County or to High Park Nature Centre.
