Joe Prospero

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Prospero of Barrie, Ontario, who departed this life on October 2, 2026. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppina and Innocenzo, as well as his brothers, Vince and John. He is survived by his children, Craig (Amanda) and Michelle (Vince), and his beloved grandchildren, Anthony, Marcello, Domenic, and Amelia. Joe is also survived by his brother Frank (Grace), his sisters-in-law, Lucy and Elena, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, located at 30 Simcoe Rd, Bradford West Gwillimbury, ON L3Z2A9. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:30 AM at St. John Vianney Parish, 13 Baldwin Ln, Barrie, ON L4N2W1. In memory of Joe, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
