Jacoba STIEMER

Jacoba Stiemer passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 89. Born in the Netherlands on June 16, 1936, she moved to Canada in her early twenties. Coby was the wife of the late Karl-Heinz and the dear mother of August, Alex, and Robert. She was also a loving OMA to Lindsay, Mitch, Kyle, Casey, Zachary, and Noah, and great-grandson Brennan. Coby's career was in bookkeeping, with her longest position held at Texas Instruments in Richmond Hill. Despite being diagnosed with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis in her mid-fifties, she continued to live on her own until her late eighties, when she moved into Long Term Care. Coby had many good friends and enjoyed visiting them regularly until the MS made that difficult. She also took on hobbies such as Art classes for the elderly and crocheting, and would sporadically get involved in groups for the interaction with people. Coby is survived by her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Karl-Heinz. Cremation has taken place. The staff of Woods Park provided loving care for Coby during her time there. Donations in her honour may be made to MS Canada or a charity of choice.
