The family announces the passing of Heather Louise Joyes of Barrie, Ontario, on October 19, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on June 20, 1947, Heather was a beloved member of her family and community. She is survived by her husband, Neil Joyes; her sibling, Kirke MacMillan; and her stepchildren, Rick (Gail), Kerry (Tracy), and Dan Joyes (Michelle). Heather was also cherished by nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 90 Tudhope Blvd, Hawkestone, ON L0L1T0. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Orillia and District Animal Centre and the Allandale Veterinary Hospital.
