George Douglas TIMPSON

George Douglas Timpson passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2025, at the age of 79, while on a European cruise with his wife, Ann, who predeceased him by one day. He was the son of the late Frank Douglas Timpson and Georgina Grace Timpson. George is sadly missed by his sister, Elizabeth Grace Winter, and was predeceased by his brother-in-law, James Frederick Winter. He is also survived by his nephews, Richard Winter and his wife Vickie, and Stephen Winter and his wife Lori; grandnephews, Brad Winter and his wife Julie, Casey Winter and his wife Kendall, Alex Winter and his wife Lisa, and Kevin Winter and his wife Ashley; grandnieces, Michelle Winter and Leslie-Ane Winter; and five great-grandnieces, Ryleigh, Zoey, Peyton, Ava, and Scarlett. George had a distinguished career as a high school teacher, councillor, and Mayor of the Town of Aurora. A Celebration of Life service for both George and Ann will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Barrie, followed by a reception. The family would appreciate donations to the charity of your choice.
