Gabor Joseph Velekei

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gabor Joseph Velekei of Barrie, Ontario, who departed this life on September 28, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on July 1, 1953, Gabor is remembered fondly by family and friends for his warmth and thoughtfulness. He is survived by his son Chris Velekei and daughter-in-law Christina, as well as his granddaughters, Alexis and Zoey Velekei. Gabor is also survived by his brother Las Velekei and brother-in-law Ron Whalen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Simcoe in Gabor's memory. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him, reflecting the meaningful connections he fostered throughout his life.
