It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Doug McFarlane of Barrie, Ontario, who departed this life on September 21, 2026, at the age of 84. Doug is survived by his wife Sue, stepsons Shaun Seaton (Tammy) and Cory Seaton (Pennie), and stepgrandchildren Sienna, Olivia, and Cooper. He is also survived by his sister Sheila and was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Gwendolyn McFarlane, and his sister Jean. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Doug's memory to The United Way or The Salvation Army.
