Diana Carrol Shanahan

The family of Diana Carrol Shanahan announces her passing on September 16, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on August 22, 1947, Diana was a beloved member of her community in Barrie, Ontario. She was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Ruth, and her brothers, Doug (Deb) and Jimmy (Nancy). Diana is survived by her husband, Jim; her grandchildren, Austin (Pavena), Payton (Jo), and Carter (Brooke); and her brothers, David and Danny (Candace). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home, located at 445 St Vincent St, Barrie, ON L4M6T5. A reception will follow from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the RVH Foundation – Hudson Regional Cancer Centre in Diana's memory.
