Deanna (Sawyer) Calwell

The family of Deanna (Sawyer) Calwell announces her passing on October 2, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on March 21, 1946, in Barrie, Ontario, Deanna was a beloved member of her community. She was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Isabel 'Pokey' Sawyer, her stepfather Les Stacey, her husband Floyd, and her sister Marilyn. Deanna is survived by her children, Karen (Don), Bruce, Barbie, and Dixie (Mike); her grandchildren, Alan, Brendan, Ty, Trinity, Kennedy, Conner, Cayden, Chloe, and Griffin; and her great-grandchildren, Quin and Nika. She also leaves behind her brothers, Don (Gwen) and Gord (June), as well as her pets, Coco and Harley. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Traditions Banquet Hall, 142 John St, Barrie, ON L4N2L2. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe or the Barrie SPCA.
