29 May Priest, Shirley Ann (nee Geil)

Shirley Ann Priest (nee Geil) passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on June 4, 1935, she was the proud, loving, and devoted mother to Jan (Paul), David (Virginia), and Julie (Paul), and the doting and adored grandma to Hunter, Taylor, Jordan, and Camryn. Shirley was predeceased by her husband and best friend, the late Paul Priest (2013), her father Martin Geil, mother Edna (Jennett), and sister Jennette (Laws). A private interment service will be held at the Christ Church St. Jude’s Cemetery, Ivy, and a celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her family physician Dr. Renee Sebastian, Dr. Jacky Lai, the compassionate, caring nurses, staff, and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe. Donations in Shirley’s name to Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated by the family.
