Paul Robert LOFTHOUSE

Paul Robert Lofthouse of Ayr, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Hospice Waterloo Region on June 6, 2026, at the age of 56, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his partner, Noreen Douglas; his parents, Robert and Sandra Lofthouse; his brother, Alexander Lofthouse, and sister-in-law, Julie; his brother-in-law, Chris, and sister-in-law, Grace Coughlin; his nieces, Zoe Lofthouse and Reese Coughlin; his nephews, Jordan Lofthouse and Jack Coughlin; his aunts, Mary Chalmers and husband Robin Pond, Judith Gregg, and Megan Griffiths and husband Bob; and his in-laws, John and Susan Douglas. Paul is also survived by his many cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Gordon and Betty Lofthouse, and Alexander and Anne Chalmers, as well as his uncle, Russell Gregg. Born on August 26, 1969, in Kitchener, Paul was a dedicated employee of the University of Waterloo for many years. He enjoyed various hobbies, including reading, walking his dogs, camping, and spending time on Manitoulin Island. Paul developed a passion for playing the bagpipes after meeting Noreen. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice Waterloo Region, Juravinski Cancer Centre, and Juravinski Hospital for their care and support.
