Steven Glen MITCHELL

Steven Glen Mitchell passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 61. He was a beloved husband of Judy (nee Stares), a proud and loving father of Mark and Jennifer (Ben), and a loving son of the late Relph and Betty Mitchell. He is also survived by his siblings, Catherine LaPlante (Jody) and Brian (Donna), and his many nieces and nephews. Steve was dearly missed by his extended family and friends. He had a remarkable career in videography, starting with the Aurora Tigers and Aurora Cable 10 in 1979, and later becoming the station manager of Aurora Cable in 1983. He was a pioneer in bringing a 24/7 dedicated High Definition community television channel to Canada. Steve was also a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. Steve had a heart transplant on September 19, 2019, and was grateful for the extra five years and nine months he spent with his loved ones. He encouraged others to sign their organ donor card and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
