Simon BOOTSMA

Simon Bootsma passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on January 1, 1929, in the Netherlands, Simon immigrated to Canada in 1949. He met his wife, Linda Tjoelker, at the Springdale Christian Reformed Church, and they were later married. Together, they raised three sons and were blessed with five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Simon was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his loved ones. He was a faithful churchgoer and had a keen mind for numbers and finances. Simon retired from CN Rail after a long career. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Pyl, and his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Linda, and several siblings.
