Zygfryd Zajac of Chatham, Ontario passed away on August 12, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents, Christine Zajac (Roesch) and Walter Zajac; his siblings, Peter Zajac and Malgorzata Sawina; and his brother‑in‑law Ginter Paruzel. He is survived by his wife Irena Zajac (Bugala); his children, Matt (spouse Julie) and Blaze (spouse Alison); his sisters, Barbara Placzek (spouse Hubert) and Renata Paruzel; and his siblings‑in‑law, Leon Sawina and Cila Zajac. Visitation was held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St S, Chatham, ON N7M4S8. A funeral Mass took place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Victory Church, 490 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K8. Donations in his memory may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
