Trudith Verna McGean (Lane) (Trudy)

Trudith Verna McGean (Lane) (Trudy) passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved daughter of the late Verne and Nellie (Beckett) Lane, and was also predeceased by her stepmother Mary, brother Randy, and sister-in-law Dolly. Trudy was a proud and devoted mother to her daughters Carolynn (Pat) Shorthouse, Maria (Sylvain) Desrochers, Nadine (Mike) Desrochers, and Connie Jo Gagnon. She is survived by 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and is lovingly remembered by her sisters Sharon, Valerie, Andra (Dave), and Julie. She will be missed by her nieces' and nephews' families and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00 am at Church of Christ, 439 Ontario St., St. Catharines, where she was a member. The family wishes to thank Drs. Sher and Child and the care teams in St. Catharines and Fort Erie for their compassion. If friends wish to make a memorial donation, the family would appreciate gifts to Camp Omagh. Cremation has been entrusted to Tallman Funeral Homes.
