Ruth Winifred Kennedy (Burke)

Ruth Winifred Kennedy (née Burke) passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 98. Born in Hawthorne, New Jersey in 1927, she spent her later years in St. Catharines, Ontario. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Burke Kennedy and Robert John Kennedy, five grandchildren—Jennifer, Christina, Seanna, Craig, and Tarah—and five great‑grandchildren—Leo, Leia, Harrison, Yael, and Cole, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Ambrose Kennedy, and her brothers Jim and John. Ruth was an active member of the Maycourt Club, served as President of the Niagara Children’s Centre, enjoyed bridge, and cared for her dogs. Funeral services will be held by George Darte Funeral Chapel.
