Richard "Rick" Berry

Richard 'Rick' Berry passed peacefully on April 28, 2026, at the Westhills Care Centre, St. Catharines, ON, following a long, patient, and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Rick was born in Welland and grew up in Port Colborne. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Begley, his son, Michael Berry, and his daughter, Kristin Berry Montoya. Also survived by four grandchildren, Holden Berry, Maya Berry, Sara Montoya, and Nicolas Montoya, two brothers, Christopher Berry, Grant Berry, and sister-in-law Gwen. Rick was predeceased by his parents, Ernest Berry and May Berry, and his brother, Dan Berry. In keeping with Rick's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to gather in his memory at George Darte Funeral Home on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada or your favourite charity.
