Miriam Dolores (nee Smith) MOTT

Miriam Dolores Mott (nee Smith) passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, at the age of 88. Born in St. Catharines, she was predeceased by her husband, Philip (1991), her parents, Robert and Vera Smith (nee Ettles), and her brother, Gary (Penny) Smith. Miriam will be greatly missed and remembered by her daughter, Jennifer (partner Paul), and grandchildren, Jacob and Isaac, as well as her sister-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, and extended family. She had a distinguished career teaching primary grades within the District School Board of Niagara. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 19th, from 10-11 a.m. at Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, followed by the funeral service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment following the reception at McNab Cemetery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Research Fund through the University of Western Ontario or Youth for Christ.
