Maureen Rose SONI (nee Lane)
Maureen Rose Soni (nee Lane) passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the age of 77. She was the beloved wife of Anil, and loving mother of Shannon-Marie (Ian Marshall) and Anita (Maximo Mora). Maureen was predeceased by her parents and one sibling. She will be dearly missed, but fondly remembered, by her siblings, friends, and extended family. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE, visiting Friday, May 1, 2026, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 3 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10 a.m. In memory of Maureen, memorial contributions may be made to The Niagara Health Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Centre).
