Maria (née Meriggi) PATERNOSTRO

Maria Francesca Paternostro (née Meriggi) passed away peacefully into the Lord's hands with her loving family by her side on May 1, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on February 28, 1940, in Avellino, Italy, Maria was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Angelo Paternostro, with whom she shared a lifelong partnership of 67 years. She was a loving mother to Dora (Tony) Mammarella, Antoinette (Dominic) Cirone, Antonio, and Angelo Jr., and a cherished Nonna to Melissa Mammarella, Andrew Mammarella, Jessica (Brandon) MacTavish, Alexandria (the late Damon) Cirone-Root, and Kelsey (Matthew) Loney. She was also a proud Bis-Nonna to Emilia Joy and Colton Arthur MacTavish. Maria was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Eleonora Meriggi (Agostino Miele), and her sister Gaetana (Pasquale) Pagliarulo. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends in Niagara, Italy, the United States, and France.
