Maria "Mia" Lucia Wever

Maria 'Mia' Lucia Wever passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 90. She is survived by her daughters, Diane Sloper and Kim Chagnon, and their spouses, Bill and Jim, as well as her grandchildren, Matthew, Warren, Brent, Laura, and Owen, and five great-grandchildren. Mia was predeceased by her husband, Chris, in 2015, and her son, Neil, in 1985. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends in Canada, the United States, and Holland. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to the Niagara Warehouse of Hope.
