MARIA "MARY" BURATYNSKY

Maria 'Mary' Buratynsky passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 101. Born on July 6, 1924, in Shpola, Ukraine, she lived a remarkable life, enduring some of the most difficult chapters of the 1900s. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Peter Buratynsky, who died suddenly at the age of 45. She is survived by her four children. Mary was a beloved member of the Ukrainian community in St. Catharines, where she served at the Ukrainian Black Sea Hall and was an active member of the Ukrainian Women's League. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the George Darte Funeral Home.
