Lawrence "Larry" VAIL

Lawrence 'Larry' Vail passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, at the age of 77, after a brief illness. Born on September 19, 1948, in St. Catharines, Ontario, to Dorothy and Stanley Vail, Larry is survived by his wife Cindy, sister Kim Doros, sisters-in-law Lynn Christensen, Cathy Pugh, and Sandy Baggott, as well as his nieces and nephews, two children, and a grandchild. He was predeceased by none mentioned in the obituary. Larry graduated from the Certified Engineering Technician program at Niagara College and had a successful career in engineering, working with several companies including Proctor and Redfern, Robert Martin Engineering, and Kerry T. Howe Engineering. He was also a skilled bassist and enjoyed music, gardening, and spending time with his loved ones. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Niagara Health Hospital—St. Catharines Site Emergency Department and ICU 2B for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Darte Funeral Home.
