Irene Gail Chmay

Irene Gail Chmay, born on November 16, 1939, passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 86. She is survived by her children, Christine (Brent), Kim (Bruce), and Joe; her grandchildren, Craig (Joanne), Byron, and Sarah; and her great-grandchildren, Cole, Peyton, Erin, Corey (Heather), Shawn, Teydan, Tanyr, Teja, and Tawny. Irene was predeceased by her husband, Edward Chmay (Eddie), and her brothers, Barry and Bryon. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 75 Church St, St. Catharines, ON. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will follow on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24, 15 George St, St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
