Hendrik "Hank" POSTMA

Hendrik 'Hank' Postma passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Sunday, May 31, 2026. He was born in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, and immigrated to Canada in 1953, settling in Nova Scotia before moving to Ontario. Hank was a horticulturalist and loved working with flowers, eventually owning his own greenhouse business in the Niagara Region. He was a member of Covenant Church and an elder for many years. Hank is predeceased by his loving wife, Hendrika Postma nee Luymes, who passed away in January 2019. He is survived by his children, Evert, John, Hank, Joanne Vink, Freda Prins, and Aubrey, as well as 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister, Tiny De Kroon, and sister-in-law, Uke Postma, and his many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Covenant Christian Reformed Church on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held prior to the service, and a celebration of Hank's life will be held at Covenant Church on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Shalom Gardens and the Palliative Care Team at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care.
