Dorothy Marie "Dot" SCOTT (nee Fritz)
Dorothy Marie 'Dot' Scott (nee Fritz) passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, in St. Catharines, Ontario, at the age of 94. Born on May 27, 1932, in Hanover, Ontario, Dorothy later moved to St. Catharines, where she built a life centered around love, resilience, and devotion to her family. She was a gifted seamstress, and her incredible talent was woven into the very fabric of her family's history. Dorothy also possessed a lifelong love for music and an extraordinary singing voice, having won first place at the Grey County Music Festival in 1942 and 1943. She had a deep love for cooking and baking, and was happiest when she could put on a magnificent spread of food for everyone to gather around. Following her retirement, Dorothy dedicated her time to helping raise her grandchildren, teaching them the values of independence and perseverance. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gordon Victor Scott (1972); her loving daughter, Bonnie (2014); her son, Robert (2017); her cherished grandchild, Gordon (2016); and her parents. Dorothy is survived by her family, including Elizabeth Jane Harper (William Thomas Harper) and Brenda Thurston, as well as her eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
