The family of Alice Opavsky of Chatham, Ontario, announces her passing on September 20, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on October 18, 1937, Alice is remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was predeceased by her parents, Katherine Tomecek (Kocis) and Steve Tomecek; her grandmother Babka; her significant other, Charles Opavsky; and her son, Christopher. Alice is survived by her children, Chuck (Jackie), David (Darlene), and Stephanie Konecny (Martin), as well as her grandchildren, Melissa, Alicia, Megan, Ashley, Lisa (Jarod), Brady, Katrina, and Marty. The family appreciates donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice or Canadian Food for Children in her memory.
