William Francis STARR

William Francis Starr passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, in his 101st year, at the age of 100. He is survived by his daughters Barbara, Janet, Patricia, Nancy, and their brother from another mother, Jock Vance. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren Andy, Heather, Marielle, Christopher, Christy, John, Daniel, and Owen, as well as his beloved great-grandchildren Andi, Elliette, Grayson, Lucas, Felix, Hailey, Austin, Veda, Aleksandr, Desmond, Kylie, Mason, and Clark. William is also survived by his much-loved niece Michelle and her children Bailey and Nathan, and his special friend Susan and her family. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years, Greta, his parents William and Ellen Starr, his siblings John Starr and Margaret Vance, and his beloved grandson Matthew. Visitation will take place at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, Ancaster Chapel, on Thursday, July 2 at 10:30 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment will be at Mount Hamilton Cemetery. Donations may be made in William's memory to the Volunteer Association of Macassa Lodge.
