Salvatore PIAZZA

Salvatore Piazza passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 79, surrounded by his family at St. Joseph's Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mattea Piazza, and their children, Nina Agro, Josie Lasala, Pat Iacono, and Joe Piazza. He was a proud Nonno to eight grandchildren. Salvatore was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Antonina Piazza, and his siblings, Vincenzo Piazza and Maria D'Aurora. He is also survived by his siblings, Calogero Piazza and Tony Piazza, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members in Canada and Italy. Born in Agrigento, Sicily, Italy, Salvatore immigrated to Canada in 1966 and worked as a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 18 for 51 years. The family would like to thank the healthcare teams at St. Joseph's Hospital and other organizations for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home.
