Morag HORSMAN

Morag Horsman passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 76. She is survived by her loving husband, John, of more than 55 years, their daughter Andrea and her husband Brian, their son Craig and his wife Caley, and cherished grandchildren Connor and Stella. She is also survived by her brother Jim and his wife Carole, niece Lindsay, nephew James, and many cousins and relatives in Canada, England, and Scotland. Morag was predeceased by her parents, Jim in 2004 and Sarah in 2016. Born in Renton, Scotland, Morag immigrated to Canada in 1967 and worked at McMaster University in Hamilton for 40 years, earning her BA in History and being inscribed in the Deans' Honour List. After retiring in 2012, she regularly met with former colleagues and friends, including Judy, Kim, Marianne, Tony, Barb, Betty, and Bill. Morag's other passions were Bridge and travel, and she will be missed by her bridge buddies and friends, Chris, Faye, Nan, Maureen, and Bonnie. The family would like to thank Dr. Xu and staff for their compassionate care, and Ontario Health at Home, the PSWs and nurses from RightatHome, CBI, and Bayshore for their kindness and dedication in keeping Morag comfortable.
