Dr. Carl Allan MOORE MD, CCFP, FCFP
Dr. Carl Allan Moore passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 94. He was born in Portlock, Ontario, on October 7, 1931, and was raised in Bruce Mines, northern Ontario. Carl was the husband of Dorothy Jean Moore (née Schell), with whom he shared 68 years of marriage. He is survived by his children Shelley (married to David), Lisa (married to Michael), Bradley (married to Marlene) and Christopher; his grandchildren Amy (married to Zlatko), Benjamin (married to Rochelle), Joshua (married to Stephanie), Patrick, Elena, James, Andrew, Jack, Maximilian, Sebastian, Findley, Liam, Kai and Rowan; and his great‑grandchildren Malina, Hunter, Boyd, Roy, Jayden and Kinslee. He is also survived by his dog Charlie. Carl was predeceased by his parents, Ethel Cameron and Peter Moore, his sister Dorothy Watson, and his niece Ella Jean Richter. A graduate of Western University Medical School in 1959, he built a distinguished career in medicine after moving to Hamilton, Ontario. An avid athlete, he played baseball and hockey throughout his youth, later adding skiing and golf to his interests, and he enjoyed travel with his wife.
