CLARA ELIZABETH "BETTY" PREECE

Clara Elizabeth 'Betty' Preece passed away on February 7, 2026, in her 95th year. She was a professional figure skater, Canadian waterskiing champion, and past president of the Probus Club of Alliston. Betty was also a coach with Special Olympics. She is survived by her children, Joni, Bill (Christina), Lynda (Mark), and Wendy (Ted), and her grandchildren, Cooper, Hayley, Jonathan (Taylin), and Christopher, as well as her great-granddaughter, Melina. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Jack Preece, and her brothers, Ted, Jack, and Dick Shand. Visitation will be held at the Drury Funeral Centre, 519 Victoria St. E., Alliston, on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 3-5 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the St. John's United Church, 56 Victoria St. E., Alliston, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 3 p.m. Memorial donations to Special Olympics Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
