Benedetto Merlina was born on August 15, 1953, and died on July 28, 2026, at the age of 72. He was a resident of Alliston, Ontario. He is survived by his wife, Pierina Merlina; his daughters, Josephine Merlina and Christine Lord (Eric); and his grandchildren, Penelope, Marcus and Finley. He was predeceased by his parents, Pietro and Giuseppina Merlina, and his sister, Angela Daiello. Visitation was held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the W. John Thomas Funeral Home, 244 Victoria St E, Alliston, ON L9R 1V6. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada.
