Helen Bates, in her 98th year, passed away on February 2, 2026. She was married to James (predeceased) for 59 years. They had three children, Marlene (Ken Leger), Richard (predeceased) (Jill) and Deborah (Joseph Conforti). Family and friends are invited to Alderwood United Church on February 7, 2026, for visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., and then a reception. Burial will take place at Park Lawn Cemetery on Monday, February 9th at 11:30 a.m. Helen was predeceased by her husband, James, and her son, Richard.
